Hi,

I raised a bug for "resume fails after suspend to ram" (https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/240395) and I got a reply to try out the new kernel. I want to try it out and see whether it fixes the bug.

I tried to install the new kernel package, but it is not available for ubuntu 8.04 hardy.

Does anybody know where to get and how to install the latest kernel of linux-image-2.6.27-* in hardy?

Thanks a lot in advance...

2.6.27.* kernel would be available in Intrepid and not in Hardy. Please try out the Alpha 5 release.

I dont think so. Check out this comment which is Written by the devs

The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel. Its only for Intrepid release. 2.6.27 kernel was never used in ubuntu AFAIK. I have always seen 2.6.26 of kernels.

I'm going to try this on my eeepc 701 maybe the rtl8187 support is more stable I'll report anything I learn
