Hi. I'm planning to install Ubuntu on a netbook (still choosing, but leaning toward MSI Wind), and I was looking into LiveUSB. Based on these instructions (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AspireOne), will I really need the LiveCD to create the LiveUSB? Or can I just create the LiveUSB from my desktop computer, which is already running Ubuntu?
Might sound like a stupid question, but I'd just like to make sure.

Yes, you'll really need a live CD, but you don't need to burn a CD. You can mount the .iso and then copy the files from the mount point to the USB stick.
