Hi,

this may seem a wierd question but I'm asking it anyway!

I have a laptop with vista installed, I want to install ubuntu over it. The laptop has two sata hard drives. I understand in the install process from the installation cd I can overwrite the windows installation by choosing the "Guided - Use Whole Disk" option.

My question is a matter of semantics - 'use whole disk' emplies 1 disk hence I would like to ask, so as to be certain - "Guided - Use Whole Disk" will install ubuntu on both hard disks won't it?

If it said "Guided - Use Whole Disk/s", I wouldn't need to ask this question. I'm really not trying to be pedantic - I just want to be certain.

Cheers,
Kieron.

Better way would be to goto Manual Partitioning and then select the vista partition over which install ubuntu. Just that you have to make a swap partition.
