I'm wondering if there's a way to use two mice in Ubuntu. I've never seen anybody use two mice, and since I'm well trained in using a mouse with both hands was wondering if this was an option.
It would be a great feature to use in programs such as The Gimp.

Not yet. Before long this will be possible though with MPX (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MPX).

MPX is either in X.org 7.4 or will be in 7.5. I don't know which one for certain.
Your favorite desktop manager will still require modifications in order to use multiple pointers without quirks. At least, that's the message I get from the wikipedia article posted by fluteflute.

You can use two mice but you will have only one cursor. Both mice will move the same cursor.
