I am wanting to destroy Windows XP mainly because it is a pain in the bottom and just wasting a good hard drive.

Give me a virus a command any thing to get rid of it.
I could reformat it but where would be the fun in that?

EDIT It wont let me connect it to the net but I can put viruses in it if I use Ubuntu to download the file.

Just connect to the internet. Should be enough.

See:

and then carefully apply that to it.
Or you could try just overwriting it byte by byte. :)

Connect it straight to the net. No firewall, no A/V, no anti-spyware, no router. Estimated average time before it catches something is 4 minutes for Windows XP SP2, I think.

Time how long it takes to BSOD !
Race your friends on who gets on a botnet first !

I can't imagine any fun way of wiping a hard drive without destroying it.

Maybe you could just pull it out of the computer and throw it off the roof? :KS

Just go and browse a ton of torrents for programs >_> and porn. Download a whole bunch :D and you will get one. Also, you could try dban >_> Destroyes your computer FBI style but I am not sure if that will make your HD useless

I think the best way to kill an XP installation is to upgrade to Vista. Microsoft is the best when it comes to killing their own Operating System.

Triple Boot Ubuntu Linux with PC-BSD and OpenSolaris.

It would be quad boot for me since I have Ubuntu 8:04 and 8:10 BETA thing.
I'll check them out tanks for the suggestion.

Well, you could zero out bytes of the HD in Fibonachi sequence... and see what happens.
