Problems with ProFTPd

I'm following a tutorial for setting up a ftp server. It says to use proftpd and gproftpd. It also says to do this to install them:

sudo apt-get install proftpd
sudo apt-get install gproftpd

I get the following error message:
g0bl1n@mk-server:~$ sudo apt-get install proftpd
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Couldn't find package proftpd

So it can't find it...I have internet because I am using it to write this message. I'm a new user to linux, however I am pretty adaptive.

Any help is appreciative!!!
