I have seen a lot of people with Seagate problems but no fixes. I am doing a new install and tried the alternate install as well as the live. I have used the pci=nomsi switch. The thing is using the gparted live cd, it has no trouble finding and partioning the disk. So it must be ubuntu. What next? I have searched for what driver gparted is using with no luck. Thanks.
