Blog hosting?

I am in search of a good blog host. I have never done a blog before but i am very interested. So what is the best blog host?

alright well i think i am going to shutdown my other site and start a blog at wordpress seems a blog gets more visitors. It would also be easier for me to add conetent to.

Advatages to hosting wordpress yourself? I don't know how i would do it i have satellite dsl and i don't believe i have the bandwidth to host.

You can install themes that aren't in the official wordpress theme repos

google also seems to loooove wordpress.com. I have an article that is like the top hit for a certain google search and its gotten me loads of visitors

REALLY? Awesome. I'll look into switching my blogspot.com to wordpress.com. My site is still in beta, and nothing is set, so this wont be hard, but if i can get more hits with the google search, then i'm all in!!!!

quite a while, but i actually didn't start really posting on it till recently.

But yea, as everyone said, go with wordpress.com. If you host your own blog, and it get dug, expect to run out of bandwidth very, very fast.

Well i have already created my blog. It is my first ever blog experience so any advice would be appreciated. Also do you guys use traffice generators like trafficg or eternalhits? one more question...when people ask questions to my post in their comments how can i answer back?

Wow just created my blog about 20 minutes ago and already got 8 visitors.

to post comments back, you just go to www.wordpress.com, log in, and then there is a button on the top to 'view site', and just click on the comments section and reply and your reply will show up as you.

and i think wordpress has a view counter enabled by default

i mean trafficg and eternal hits are site that drive people to your site basically advertise for you.
