I have been looking in Ubuntu 8.04 for the "System > Administration > Disks" tool that was available on Ubuntu 6.04, but couldn't find it.

Where is it?

Thanks,
Alex

Great. What replaces it?

You could use a program like pysdm

PySDM is a PyGTK Storage Device Manager that allows full customization of hard disk mountpoints whitout manually access to fstab. It also allows the creation of udev rules for dynamic configuration of storage devices
or to view info about disks you could use Disk Usage Analyzer (Applications>Accessories>Disk Usage Analyzer)

Thanks! I was actually interested in viewing disk-oriented information in my system. So I used Synaptics to discover and install GParted. I think that together with the tools you mentioned I am all set now.
