I got banshee because i thought it had ipod support, and an ubuntu help file said the same thing. Although, when i plug my ipod in, it's showing up on the desktop but not in Banshee, any help?

What version of Banshee are you using?

Hardy (Ubuntu 8.04) uses Banshee 0.13.2 whereas the latest (and supposedly greatest) version of Banshee (1.2.1) is included in Intrepid (Ubuntu 8.10). From the looks of the website (and what Brian says on the Linux Action Show) Banshee is rapidly improving - as, hopefully, is the iPod support.

If you're really impatient, you can download the deb from the banshee site - but Intrepid is only a few days away, so once you upgrade, Banshee will be there.

I'm hoping the iPod support is good enough for me to use it alone for Podcasts (currently using gPodder), music management (currently using GTKPod) and playing music (currently using Rhythmbox).

Good luck.
