i have both OS on a hard drive each
i want to access some files from my ubuntu hard drive
but i dont see the hard drive under my computer

This is probably because your Ubuntu is formatted onto an ext 2, or 3, partition, and I think I'm correct in saying that Vista (which is NTFS) doesn't recognise it. When you write files, do you mean word processing files etc? If so, can you copy them to a flash drive (formatted to Fat 16 or 32) and then unmount it before plugging it into Vista?
