So, I just installed 8.04.1 desktop AMD64 (using SMP) and I'm having major trouble getting my NVidia 8400 GS card working properly. I used envyng to install the 173 drivers, and the kernel module loads fine, but when I change the device setting to "nvidia" in my xorg and start up X, my computer just locks with a blank screen. Any ideas? I'm using a pretty vanilla xorg.conf. I just changed the "nv" to "nvidia"
