I'm using the ArkkuDvorak layout on my PC but after switching to ubuntu, the arkkudvorak xmodmap file doesn't work correctly.
Otherwise it works fine but it disables my left arrow key which makes things complicated.
How to get the xmodmap to behave properly in Ubuntu?

The xmodmap file I use can be downloaded from:
http://www.cs.helsinki.fi/u/kkuloves/files/arkkudv.x86.xmodmap

It has worked just fine on Archlinux, Slackware and on OpenBSD. Ubuntu is the only distribution that behaves like this.
