I've just tried to an installation on a system using an AMD Athlon 32/64 processor. The installation goes successfully, but I am unable to login. Once my username and password have been entered, the os acts like it is proceeding to the Ubuntu desktop ... but then kicks me back to the login screen.
I can login in single user mode - so the installation must have worked somewhat correctly. This is occuring with both the 32 and AMD64 bit versions. I would love to get this running, but am a bit stuck (to say the least!) Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
