I installed Hardy about 2 days ago only to find that my x-fi card wasnt supported apparently so today I found an old AOpen Cobra sound card lying around and swapped it with the x-fi and was able to get sound and all was well, well about 15 minutes later while surfing the web and listening to music my sound all of the sudden quit and so did firefox (it froze) so i restared x only to hear no sound and have programs continue to freeze. I tried restarting the whole computer but no luck. I'm new to linux and ubuntu so any help would be greatly appreciated.
