I have been trying screenlets for a few weeks now. I really liked the looks of the clearRSS and clear weather, but I didn't ever find a calendar or sensor applet that I liked. I just tried gDesklets, and I don't like any of them, and half of the ones out of the repos dont' work for some reason.

Basically, here is my question:

Which backend do people prefer (reply in the poll)?

Next, which applets do you like the best (screenlets or desklets) for an RSS reader, calendar, weather, and sensor (for my battery status).

Also: I found the starter toolbar (desklets) that looks like the OSX launcher at the bottom. This is pretty neat. Is there a screenlet for this kind of thing?

Nevermind. I actually did some reading. Seems that most ppl feel gDesklets to be more unpolished and less stable than screenlets, and I doscovered Cairo-dock. Looks like thats what I'm going with, along with going back to screenlets. Compiz-fuzion is working beautifully as well. Someone please delete this thread, a waste of resources now.
