I recently had trouble installing anything from synaptic, command, or .deb installer. I was constantly getting an error for "libsoup2.4.1 is missing newline" or something like that. I followed the directions in this thread: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=592576 to fix libsoup. Now I get the following errors when trying to install: And these errors come up for ANYTHING to install. I don't know how I am to try and update the kernel. But these errors came AFTER I fixed another package, what gives?

Try:
sudo dpkg --configure -a
sudo apt-get -f install
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
(post outputs)

Well, I had already UNINSTALLED the last 3 packages on the list and the only thing left was the kernel. So here is the output:

dave@dave-desktop:~$ sudo dpkg --configure -a
