presentation to video?

Ok, here is the challenge. I really need to take an Open Office type presentation and convert it to video. I tried recordmydesktop and it gives me an ogg file that seemingly nothing can play. If you have any ideas, on how to do this, I'm open for suggestions. vlc crashed while trying to play the ogg format. I just did a small sample to try and see if it would work. Wide open for suggestions.
