Need opinion on new banner

I am bored with my old banner on my blog [see signature] and would like some opinions on my new one before I put it up.

Is it an improvement? Too simple?

I was going for simple and sleek, the reflective text makes it too busy if you know what I mean.

Since your website says it on top "Linux owns", I think it's unnecessary to mention it in the banner.
You also have a decent amount of blue colour in your blog, you could change the background from gray to a deep marine blue or something blueish?

No text at all? The penguin pretty much shows your content and the blue colour "fills" and relaxes the eye :)
I can't think of any catchy phrases at the moment :\
