View Full Version : [ubuntu] [SOLVED] Where did my pics go?? Help...

I got Digikam to find my camera. It seemed to download them, but I can't find them. Is there a tutorial out there on Digikam, or could someone give me a quick step by step on what to do from the beginning on my first batch of photos?? The pics that I think down loaded, are still in the camera.

Have you checked the Pictures Folder in you home folder.

when you first opened Digikam, it should have asked where you wanted to store the pictures. On mine, it is storing them in /home/username/Pictures (which is different then /home/username/pictures). Have you looked in that folder for them?

There are no pis the "Pictures" folder. There is a "New Album" folder though. Should I just try to download the pics again?

Are the pictures in the "New Album"? If so, just rename the folder.

is there anything in the new album folder?

Here's the steps I use:

Start Digikam

Camera - Browse media and select your camera

Download - Download all

Click New Album and give it a name

Click OK

Can't you just Search for them?

I did. They don't seem to be anywhere. I searched for ".jpg". I found all my other pictures.

I downloaded the pics into F-Spot. I did not want to, F-Spot just opened by it self and the pics downloaded into it...What???

Is this right? What do I do now?

either program will work, I normally use f-spot myself. I fyou want them in Digikam, when f-spot comes up just cancel and close it then manually open digikam
