Performance comparisions of LiveCD versus installed versions.

Hi,

Are LiveCDs on a USB disk faster than installed versions on the same disks ??

Also I would like to application using Gambas on Ubuntu , will a LiveCD (on a USB drive), is this OK or should I install Ubuntu on the usb drive ??

Depending on hardware a full install will run faster then the live CD, me I note no difference due to my specs.
As for installing ubuntu on the USB drive, what kind of USB drive is it?

The biggest difference will be boot time. An installed system is much faster than a Live CD or USB key boot.
