View Full Version : [gnome] [SOLVED] gnome-search-tool starts automatically...why?

Hello, for some reason my gnome-search-tool app is starting automagically on login. To my knowledge I have not changed anything to cause this. Nor have I been able to track down the reason in any "autostart" location. And it isn't listed in my Pref>Sessions>Startup Programs. Any help would be wonderful. I'm on 8.04.1 if that makes any difference.

do you have ubuntu-tweaks installed ? If no, please install it from deb.net. Ubuntu-tweak has a selection, where you can see and edit your autostart.
Hope this will help you.

Got it fixed! I had looked in all the autostart places to no avail, so I ended up getting to a basic session (no apps running) then clicked on save current session in the Sessions Management dialog. It worked! Don't know why I couldn't find it elsewhere, oh well.
