hi

I have a toshiba l45 laptop which has vista installed in one partion and the data files are stored in the second partion. i partioned this second partion so that i could creat a partion to install ubuntu.

i installed ubuntu sucessfully but now i can not boot to ubuntu or vista. The laptop displays bios settings then goes blank.

i can still see my 3 partions when i use the ubuntu live cd. please help.

Read Backup, Repairing and Reinstalling GRUB in the GRUB HowTo (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/GrubHowto).

I'm thinking that GRUB has gotten messed up, so repairing it will hopefully make things work.
