Ok,
I'm buying a computer, thats going to host some basic stuff. I was looking around NewEgg and I found the perfect thing I'm looking for, but the only problem is, is that I don't know if it's comptable with this motherboard that I already have. I've already posted on another computer forum, but no one's replied :/

Does anyone know if these will work together? I don't wanna waste my money.. :(

I have no idea, but my random guess is since they are both socket 939 theyll work, though dont base your decision on me. I hardly know what socket 939 means, I just know its a number in both of them :P

I think it will work...

For those that don't know, 939= # of pins on the processor.

I *think* that it should work because the Opteron and the FX processors are very similar. See if you can find an email you can contact at Asus or AMD to find out
