Hello I have problem connecting my mysql-server. I run snort on my laptop and it automatically collects information about any suspicious traffic. Now I have problem to connect my mysql server as root user.
I get all the time following error.
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)
I have created file called mysqld.sock to the /var/run/mysqld/ folder.
Now I wonder why this error message appears when I try to connect to my mysql-database.
Can someone help?
