View Full Version : [ubuntu] Possible kernel problems

I'm using Heady Heron with kernel 2.6.24-19-generic.
Whenever I try updating the system, or installing any package through Synaptic, I get the errors:

E: linux-image-2.6.24-19-generic: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 17
E: linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24-19-generic: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
E: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24-19-generic: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

I've tried reinstalling all of the above, but that hasn't changed anything.
When I run whatever package I've installed, it seems to work OK, so I don't know what kind of problems these errors are having, if any.

Any suggestions of what I might do?
Thanks,
Liam
