As far as I know its for Mobiles, you want to install it on desktop. Maybe they have an emulator.

I am unable to get what you are trying to say. It says that its for devices 4 to 7 inches. This description would have been to mean that its for mobile devices, not that anything which is this small can have Ubuntu mobile version.

well this is what it says in a faq:

This is a FAQ regarding the Ubuntu Mobile Project

What platforms does it run on?

*

Currently, the project is focused on x86 processors, using architectures created by Intel's LPIA platform. The only tested devices so far is the Samsung Q1 Ultra and the Intel Crown Beach Development Platform.

Furthermore, how many mobile devices you know have 6 and 7 inch screens? And the whole purpose of this oqo is to be mobile, it runs on sprint mobile broadband
