Hello,
I'm tryin to install Ubuntu 8.04 into an external hdd attached to my laptop and it's impossible to boot it due to some problem with the GRUB.
I've 3 partitions in the external drive:
ext3 40GB (/dev/sdb1)
swap 5GB
fat32 205GB
After installing the OS using the Live CD and installing the GRUB into the /dev/sdb1 partition I reboot the system and the only thing I've got is the word GRUB at the left upper corner of the screen. After this I have to remove the external drive and reboot in order to start my OS installed in the internal drive.
Any idea about how to fix it ??
Thanks in advance!
