Hi all,
I have been using Ubuntu since 7.04, 7.10 and now on 8.04. One thing that I have not quite figured out is the search button on Nautilus.

Actually, what I don't get is how to use the search pattern. Let say I would like to search for all files that has ".jpg" extension, I thought I would enter '*.jpg'. But that would not yield any result even though I know that I have bunch of .jpg files in the folder.

So if anyone can point me to a help file or documentation web site about Nautilus search function, I would be greatly appreciate!

TIA,

Also, instead of searching via Nautilus, you could use Tracker or install Beagle
