View Full Version : [ubuntu] [SOLVED] GDM launcher shortcuts can't display custom icons (png, jpg, ico), how do I di

I am currently using the intrepid testing 8-24-08 (distro-upgraded).

I downloaded and installed Open Office m4 for debian. I originally just used the 'dpkg -i *.deb' to install it, but it crashed instantly upon running. So I returned to the install folder and tried running the upgrade script in the tarball package this time. Success! Now Openoffice m4 runs fine with no errors.
I reboot the PC, and upon loading the GDM desktop back up all of my launcher shortcuts have now lost the ability to use any icons other than SVG types. I can't use PNG, JPG, ICO, etc...

Attached is a screen shot of the icon that seems to be stuck to all new launchers with no apparent way to change it.

Can anyone help me out on this issue? Thank you!
