I recently bought, as the thread implies, a Sager NP8660 laptop, and just earlier I attempted to install Kubuntu 8.04 on it. However, instead of getting the nice frontend installer, I keep getting a scary command line (Busy Box v1.1.3) which I didn't get when I successfully installed it on my other computers. Does anyone know why this might be happening, and even better how I can fix it?

I tried installing Ubuntu 7.04, upon which the X server told me "no screens found"
in light of this I'm going to post some specs:
- Display: 15.4" WUXGA "Matte Type" Super C (1920x1200)
- Video Card: 512MB PCI-Express nVidia GeForce 9800M GT
