System freezes when loading setup

I did almost every option I could, and I keep getting this error:

Is my CD damaged? Has anyone seen this?

I would burn a new disc to start with. Use a good quality disc, burn on slowest setting, try again.

Also, take a look here http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=801404. It helped me a lot with my installation issues and questions.

New problem: CDs passed verify with 4 ROMS. RAM test: passed. Tried to get the 'Alternative' version. Install works, but, usally doesn't load the GUI, just freezes.
