Installing Ubuntu on a HP Pavilion dv6355ea

A few months ago I was interested in installing Ubuntu 8.04 but it wouldn't install on a HP Pavilion dv6355ea.

Does anyone know whether the latest version 8.0.4.1 has resolved this??

I can't find any notes anywhere on the HP Pavilion dv6355ea anymore.

Any help would be really appreciated.
