Hello all,
I wanted (and still want) to try out a linux distribution, and some of my friends had some good experiences while using ubuntu.

I followed the macbook installation as described on https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MacBook,
but somehow I can't boot with rEFit- it tells me that there is no bootable device- instert boot disk and press any key.

If I insert my install disc it just starts the installation again.

Here's some information about me:
MacBook 13,3" Santa Rosa v3.1 with 4 GiB DDR2- RAM
Burned a 700Mbyte disc with Ubuntu 8.04, checked the disc with the included disc checker.
Newest driver installed
Installation runs without any failures.

Any ideas, anyone?

Thanks in advance,
Cheers
