Hi. I am using Ubuntu 8.04 and I live in the U.S. and speak english. Recently I had an exchange student come over and I would like to create an account for him that uses Spanish. Is there a possible way to have it where my account is in english and his is in spanish? I have already downloaded the spanish language packages and installed them but have no clue on how to configure his account to use spanish. Thank you to any responses.

Although you can choose the language at login, that gets annoying.
An alternative would be editing the ~/.xinitrc

Hey Frosty:

Were you able to use the suggestion and have your visitor have his account in spanish? I am having a similar situation though in my case is just making sure that it can work, would love to know if this worked or not.
