Installing Kubuntu On External Hard Drive

Can I install Kunbutu onto my external hard drive than some how change something in 3 other computers so that i can access it. A simple icon on the desktop would be nice or just the reboot way where you choose ether windows or kubuntu would work also.

I have at one time installed kununtu/ubuntu to my hard drive but I was wondering how to boot it on computers other than the one I installed kununtu/ubuntu to my hard drive.
