Hi all! I have been searching for an answer to this and I am unable to find a suitable answer, so I naturally decided to post here. I am reformatting my main drive and getting rid of windows. It's taking up space that I need, and become unnecessary. I have only booted to it twice this year, and both times were accidental. That is neither here nor there.

Here is my question:

How should I repartition my new drive? I have been dedicating 7 GB to the root and everything else to the /home partition. Is this sufficient or should I be allowing more space for the tmp files on my system (and should I setup a separate partition for any other directories)?

I create a lot of data & video cd's/dvd's using DeVeDe as well as the Brasero suite that is built in with Ubuntu.

Any insight is much appreciated!

Root, home and swap are sufficient
