I downloaded 8.04.1LTS, and ran the WinMd5Sum on the ISO file. Where do I find the hash to Compare?

I believe my Download is corrupt.

Tip: Put your checksum to google and see if it founds any results. If it founds, your file isn't likely corrputed during download.

Thanks!! I went to the link you provided and copied the checksum into the WinMd5Sum window and hit Compare. They were the same.

Where can I find the checksum for other versions of Ubuntu, like Ultimate 1.97?

When I burned my latest copy of 8.04.1LTS, I used ISORecorder, which gave me a valid CD, before. Upon boot up of that CD, I do not see the option to Check Integrity of CD. Is there another way to confirm that the CD or DVD has been burned without error?

For ubuntu ultimate 1.9, see the bottom of this page : http://ultimateedition.info/Ultimate_Edition_1.9/

usually checksums are provided on the download page/directory...
