I've searched and found a couple post that helped others but I have no clue. I dl the correct files (I think), but I can't even copy paste into the Pidgin folder. I'm not allowed on my own pc, LOL.

Can someone please post a step by step guide on "How To Install Xfire in Pidgin". And I mean a "Step By Step Guide" Video/screenshots please... Ubuntu Hardy Hereon that I just installed a few days ago.

Download the gaim-xfire_0.6.1~20071109-pidgin-2.2-gutsy1_i386.deb (http://gfire.sourceforge.net/snapshots/gaim-xfire_0.6.1%7E20071109-pidgin-2.2-gutsy1_i386.deb) deb to your Desktop or where ever your downloads go.
Then double click on the downloaded gaim-xfire_0.6.1~20071109-pidgin-2.2-gutsy1_i386.deb package. This will open up Gdebi package installer, once it is open you can install the package by selecting "Install Package" Once it is installed close and restart pidgin (Applications>Internet>Pidgin) Then open up pidgin and go to "Accounts" >> "Manage Accounts" >>"Add" >> "Protocol" >>"Xfire" then fill out your username and password.
