My mp3/ogg player has been away for a few days, for repair, it has 4gb of flash memory, but there is a slight problem. when I sent it away, my music library was about 3.8 gb, but I have been hanging around jamendo lately, and my library is sitting at 7.1gb now, what do I do? I will be buying a new player around Christmas, but what should I do until then?

be selective about what you put on it. I personally never use synch functions. I just copy on what I want when I want it.
