Hi all. Was looking around at something else completely last night and noticed something at HermanZone. In an example of his sources list, he seemed to have a bunch of sources that I don't have. It might explain why I am rarely getting asked to update etc. Don't know what happened or where they might have gone but gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list gives me this:

# deb cdrom:[Ubuntu 8.04 _Hardy Heron_ - Release amd64 (20080423)]/ hardy main restricted
# See http://help.ubuntu.com/community/UpgradeNotes for how to upgrade to
# newer versions of the distribution.

deb http://au.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ hardy main multiverse restricted

ps: I never use KDE so that is why that entry at the bottom section in the middle is hashed out.

You can go into "System > Admin > Software Sources" and check the first four under "Ubuntu Software" which will add the extras for you. If you messed up you list you can reinstall it from the Live CD.

Thanks to both of you. Will play around with that and see how I go. :)
