If this don't belong here Admins remove it or move it to where it
belongs,
SweetDragon and I have a site together we think.
So check it out and give ideas to make it better
or say it's fine. I think it's Clean, clear, easy to read and navigate.:)
Considering that the theme is tourism and entertainment.
I think we did good for our first web page, but it is our first.
Thanks for the input :)

It's a nice collection of places and events,If i could i'd visit them but... I'm in mexico and my passport expired LOL. anyway I think you could make it a little more graphical. Also I like more the two columns format but that's just me.
It's a nice site

EDIT: however your HTML is far from great check it on the w3 validator (http://validator.w3.org/) Here's a direct link to your site

Flash has to go, and the picture on the upper left corner is too low resolution.

Wow I didn't think it was that messed up, It look good to us.
Ok back to the drawing board and see if we can fix some of this.
The page was made to give people things to do around town, we're
not charging. We were just trying to show other things going on other
than WDW, SeaWorld and other things like that.
I mean it Florida and people don't know what's happening that they
can go to for free or next to nothing, so that's what we are trying to point out.

I was just pointing out minor visual aspects.
The design of the website is very nice and minimalistic, I think it's good, just try to make the code standards compliant.

Don't worry about HTML validation, it's irrelevant. If the page displays fine, then it's good enough.

Second, your calendar is in comic sans, which is the ugliest most unprofessional font ever.

Otherwise, it's not all that bad.

Well coding is something we are both learning and like I said it's our first shot at a web
page. We had an idea and are trying to post it on the web, but need to be shown where our
mistakes are so we can fix them.
The page won't die, we just needed to know where to look to fix what needed
to be fix, that's why I posted in here. So I guess I'm asking you to point them out
which I thank you for.

What did you design it with?
I mean, for your first web page, that definitely doesn't look like something you did by hand.

Not sure SweetDragon is the one putting it up, I was just the one getting
the info to put on it.
So I'm doing the leg work and she's putting it up,

Yeah, you should ask her.
Also, you should put it in your sig so I don't have to go to the previous page to click on the link.
EDIT: You have a bit of e-mail discrepancy on the first page. The link says somethingsomethingIdon'twanttoremember@gmail.com whereas it's mailto:whatever@yahoo.com
Gotta fix that.

Ok I added it to my Signature.
I just found out about the email thingy and she said she'll fix it tommorrow.

The resources page cuts off at the bottom on Walmart. Not sure if it happens to anyone else, but it did for me. Nevermind the whole resources page overlaps itself, bad CSS or HTML, if I knew how to fix that I would tell you, looks like a WYSIWYG editor.

Ok thanks I see what you mean. See this is why I put it in here
Without people telling me I will miss things. I want things right
That's why I asked for the input. Thanks :)

Oh and if anyone tries to edit it with a text editor, they'll go insane due to the massive amount of horizontal scrolling going on.
Not too hard to fix, just indent the elements in rows.

I agree, the calendar's font doesn't match the rest of the site. And I didn't really like the site's colors of green and yellow.

When I think of Florida, I'm thinking of oceans, beaches, sunsets, flamingos, and lakes. You might want to design a color scheme that matches your location.

heres what it looks like for me...

the overlap on the nav menu looks a bit strange.

(i'm sorry if i seem rude by telling you this. i meant it in a very polite way. i'm sure it looks good to some people and i don't want to offend those people)

Don't know why I don't see that overlap.
I'm using firefox and I don't have that overlap.

That's Firefox, but your CSS is probably using absolute values so it's mapping them to the size of his window, which is not maximized.
