What is it? A cross-platform, open-source way of backing up / syncing / sharing files online.

eh, ill stick to rdiff-backup, i didnt buy a 320gb external hard drive for no reason =)

Oh, and what's really nice about this, is nautilus integration. You get a Dropbox folder into which you can just drag, drop, move, delete files - just like any other folder - and it takes care of syncing automatically.

Zero terminal commands involved or worrying about something being out of sync :) (of course, if that's your thing...)

Online backup, syncing between computers, and sharing from what I understand.

I've question about dropbox from other barrel. Dropbox made .dropbox files in all directories on my hard drive. How can I remove it using only terminal?

Hm... maybe "rm -rf .dropbox", but, test it out in a single folder a first before running it on your system.

I'm not exactly sure what is the .dropbox file supposed to be myself.

.dropbox is a small file which is creating in all directories on hard drive. Authors creating fix on that but i try remove this file myself, because i don't know, how can work this fix and i don't know did they remove this files ;).

yeah, this is a bit annoying

one way to remove them is to use gnome-search-tool, enable hidden files, search for .dropbox and drag all the files that show up into the the trash... not sure if this will do anything though

perhaps someone could post here when they fix this?
