Alright, not exciting for some, but after sticking in my new nVidia 8800GT I have once again ditched Windows :D
And woah what a great rig I have running!!
From glxgears
69403 frames in 5.0 seconds = 13880.600 FPS
And that's just nvidia-glx-new. I imiagine the reference drivers will be faster :)
And the whole lot:
Intel Q6600 Quad core CPU
nVidia 8800GT 1GB DDR3
4GB DDR3 RAM
500GB HD
7.1 surround sound with multipod speakers

Nope :D
Dell Inspiron 530 from Tesco £250 all but the gfx card. The PC they were promoting had a multicard reader but that one has been withdrawn now. It was this one http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.204-0126.aspx but seeing as it didn't have the multicard reader, when I got it home, which I had one anyway, I got £50 back :D
nVidia 8800gt from PC World @ 149.99 It's the XFX 8800GT Alpha Dog Edition. It should be £180 but I ordered online, went to collect in Leeds and they didn't have one so was offered a 512MB, kicked up a fuss and the ran through to central leeds store and I got this one ;)
I had 2GB of ram from another PC but that's what £50 if new!
Till receipts if required  ;)

What!
They better have that deal in Northern Ireland.
I'm so nabbing one of these and using it as a server or something.

69403 frames in 5.0 seconds = 13880.600 FPS
But how can you display such a frame rate when the screen only refreshes 60 times a second?

Lol, they gave you £50 for a multicard reader when they cost something like £7-8. You should feel guilty :)
My PC specs are almost identical to yours except I have a XFX9600GT & mine is a home build.

I do, just a little :)
