i have to install ubuntu (and i have no alternate or minimal cds..) using the desktop edition.
i am not a network expert, just know a bit of it and am trying to learn more through this setup..so please treat me as a nOOb to networks.
i am in my lab, in which all the computers are connected to a dhcp server..and i have access to only an ordinary computer, and not the dhcp server. and i want to install ubuntu on 10 other similar systems. i have read some tutorials, but all of them say that "I" need to set up the dhcp server. the thing is this if "I" become the dhcp server, then there will be 2 dhcp servers for the client machines..is that possible ?
