Problem with gnash

I installed gnash player for mozilla but i get nothing in youtube, just a white box. Does anybodh know whati i can do??

same thing here, and add/remove won't let me uninstall gnash to try again and gnash will not open standalone so I can noodle on it.

some progress, I found this thing "synaptic" under system-administration that let me uninstall all the gnash. Once I did that flash movies started playing but very chunky. I guess I had gnash and the macromedia both on and they were interfering with each other. If I can figure out how to find and uninstall the macromedia ware I will reinstall the gnash package and see if it plays better.
