MSI always intended an 8.9" Linux version, right from the first announcement.

In the UK it may not be wise to buy a 8.9" MSI Wind for £260, when you can get an Advent 4211 for £280 (http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/219404/?camp_id=ppc_google_long_tail_laptops_advent_netbo ok_4211) or a Medion Akoya Mini from Aldi (http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/2867_7073.htm), price to be confirmed.
They are both the 10" screen MSI Wind with different badges.
