Hi All;

I have two Ubuntu 8.04 boxes and want a GUI Remote Desktop to the other one. I would like to get a user login and password prompt and behave like a typical console gui login.

Is it crazy for me to want this? Is there something that comes with Ubuntu that already does this? Should I try nx, vnc, rdp, ssh, ... my head is already spinning.

Is there something that comes with Ubuntu that is as easy to turn on and use as Microsoft's Remote Desktop Protocol?

Many thanks for any suggestions,
Dale E. Moore

remote desktop is already in ubuntu System >> Preference >> Remote Desktop.
give the remote user your ip and a port number. then open the port in the firewall and your good to go
