KDE4 is so screwy!

What's up with the KDE4 desktop launchers? They won't work no matter what I do. Also, why do things stay in the ~/Desktop directory even when I get rid of them on my desktop? Does anyone else think that KDE4 is really screwy? http://ubuntuforums.org/images/smilies/smiley-faces-75.gif

yes i do when i tryed mandriva (i prefer gnome btw) there was too many widgets you didnt need it didnt look good it looked to over flowery like a little girl with a plastic lollypop

it trys to be something it isnt kde for me is epic fail except some desktops

Yeah, I agree. KDE 3 was okay, but from now on for me it's gnome all the way!

Waah? I'm using KDE 4.1.1 with no problems what-so-ever. Folder view can display the ~/Desktop folder (or any other, for that matter) or you can just click-and-drag or right-click-click objects in the K menu to Plasma and it doesn't affect the ~/Desktop folder at all.
