IT Contracting

Does anyone have any experience doing IT contracting with a contracting company? Right now I am doing a contract for Robert Half Technology, and the project is supposed to end sometime this month. I have never done contracting before. My recruiter wants me to send her the updated version of my resume with my most recent stint on it.


I am kind of worried about how much down time I'll have in between contracts. My recruiter told me that they try to get a contractor work by the following week though obviously there is no gaurantee that will happen.


Does anyone have experience with this? How much downtime did you usually have? Is it better just stick with RHT or should I reach out to other contracting companies as well?

I have done a lot of contract work. I would suggest that you speak to different companies. I have done work for RHT, and others. Never count on just one company.

What other companies would you reccomend? The only other one I know of around here is Teksystems
